New mojoportal source code installation too slow

Hi, I am new to the mojoportal world and very interested in using this solution.  I cloned the source code in my local machine, create a database in the MS SQL server 2008, and make corresponding change in the user configuration file.  Everything seems file and I could open the mojoportal site from Visual Studio 2010.  However, it seems Very very slow no matter when I run "setup/default.aspx" page or "sitesetting.aspx" page.  when I tried to open every page on the site, it always take almost 5 minutes to load... My computer is in windows 7 and my memory is 3GB, I am not sure if there is anything wrong or what any important steps I need to take to change this situation, Does anybody has such a problem or give me any hand to speed up my first web mojoportal site?  Thanks.

Re: New mojoportal source code installation too slow

There is some advice that may help in the article Visual Studio Performance Advice, however that machine is unfortunately below spec for running a large solution like mojoPortal in Visual Studio in my opinion. 3GB of RAM is bare bones these days. I think it will be difficult to get a good development experience working with mojoPortal source code on that machine.
