Cache Issue: How to disable it at all?

Hi Guys.

My website is www.sambobrasil.com.br

When I access it with Firefox or IE9, it works pretty well. But when I access it with Google Chrome, the css does not work properly. But If I log in and disable the cache (Administration -> Advanced Tools -> Design Tool -> Cache Tools), everything gets ok. So I noted that a cookie is created when I disable the cache, but its expiration time is soon. My question is: Once disabling the cache I can solve the issue with Google Chrome, how can I disable it permanently?

Thanks for your attention.

Re: Cache Issue: How to disable it at all?

Just adding / correcting some thing: "But when I access it with Google Chrome, even from a machine / pc that never have accessed the site before, the css does not work properly."

Just to stay clear that is not a cache problem on my machine.

Thanks

Re: Cache Issue: How to disable it at all?

You should not disable cache permanently. Once all css changes/edits are complete you should reset the skin guid so that all browsers will be forced to load the new version of the css. The browser caches based on the url so the guid appended to the url makes it different therefore it will load it and then cache it again with the new url. The cookie is just for temporary for while the designer is working so he doesn't have to keep resetting the guid after every edit but once he is done editing he should reset the guid and disable the cookie.
