Problem with the editor TinyMCE

Hi,

I have faced a strange problem with the editor TinyMCE. I had my html editor as TinyMCE and have a slide show for my site. In that slideshow I have images as well as text. For text we can set different positioning for each of the slider. But the positioning of text is not changed for each sliders. So I checked the source of the html, and I found that the positioning for the text in the html is missing. Again and again I put the html and found the positioning for the text is missing every time. I tried to find out what was the problem behind this? I had found no problem with my skin. After that I have changed the editor to CK Editor it worked fine. So I feel the problem was with TinyMCE. Is it correct? Why it was like that?

Thanks,

Siva.

Re: Problem with the editor TinyMCE

Yes the editors do have some cleanup logic that can cause problems like this. So its best to use whichever editor works best for your needs. In the Html content feature in the settings you can also disable the editor so that you edit raw html. Sometimes this is needed when putting javascript in the content to prevent the editor from doing cleanup that breaks it.

Best,

Joe

Re: Problem with the editor TinyMCE

Thanks for your clarification.

In future if I face any problems with editor I will try to  disable the editor and use raw html.
