Reference DLL from a Feature Config file

RE: The line in the feature config file:

controlSource="MyControls/MyControl.ascx"

Can we use:

controlSource="MyControls/MyControl.dll"   ?

The reason I'm asking is because I want to version my controls in a separate class library.

Re: Reference DLL from a Feature Config file

No, that isn't possible. dlls have to be in the /bin folder. From your user control you can reference a dll though, so if you want to put more logic or controls in a class library that is up to you, but UserControls always have a .ascx file even if their codebehind is in a dll.
