UserSignInEventHandler alternative (pre-authentication)

I implemented a custom UserSignInEventHandler, but it works after a successful authentication only.

What I need is to change the LoginName  before the authentication (strip a legacy prefix from the login name, if it exists).

Should I modify the source code to implement this?

Thanks.

Re: UserSignInEventHandler alternative (pre-authentication)

You should be able to do it by creating a copy of the mojo login.ascx and adding your code there maybe, just replace the mojo login control using a post build event in your custom project (don't change the mojo control itself)
