Using Images with Hyperlinks

Hello,

I am quite a novice here but trying to learn. Here is my question.

I have created a hyperlink jpg image using Photoshop which save both the image and the html as well.

How do I go about uploading the hyperlink image. I have uploaded the jpg image created but no hyperlink
shows on my web page once the image is uploaded. How do I go about getting the html and image to work?

Re: Using Images with Hyperlinks

What you need to do, is in the HTML editor, associate the link with your image. The exact steps will depend on the editor you are using, but here is what works with TinyMCE using Firefox (editor choice can be changed in Administration, Site Settings):

  1. In the editor, right-click on the image, and select Insert/Edit Link.
  2. Paste your link into the Link URL box.
  3. Click Update
  4. Save your changes.

Now when you mouse over the image you'll see that a click will send you to the target URL.

Hope that helps,
Jamie
