Filter/sort on user profile

Filter/sort on user profile

I am looking to filter member on their profile information.

On setting up a school reunion site I will have various profile bits of information such as year started, year left, country of residence, current occupation.

Is there a simple way of sorting members on the information as opposed to using using the search filter provided.
