How to install an 'add in' in Mojoportal

I'm interested in some of the 'add in' on offer for MojoPortal but before I commit to anything I would like to know how I make them visible for use on my web site.

Re: How to install an 'add in' in Mojoportal

Hi,

To install the add on products is very similar to installing mojoPortal. The package has a wwwroot folder, you copy the contents of that folder into the root of your mojoPortal installation, then you visit the /Setup/Default.aspx page to complete the installation.

Once installed you add it to pages the same as any other feature in mojoPortal, by clicking the "Edit this Page" link to get to PageLayout.aspx, the dropdown list of features on that page will include the newly installed product(s) and you can add it to the page just like any of the included free features that come with mojoPortal.

You can try out the add on products and create test pages with them on our demo site.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: How to install an 'add in' in Mojoportal

I don't really understand what you are asking. You should not have to do anything with Default.aspx (in the root of the site), that file is part of mojoPortal and is used to serve all the CMS pages (ie pages in the menu) as discussed in the article How mojoPortal Works.

You also don't need to do anything with /Setup/Default.aspx other than navigate to it, ie visit the page, it will automatically run any needed setup scripts for the add on products after you deploy the files as mentioned previously.

Hope that helps,

Joe
