API - accessing content, sitemap and other components

Hi All

I am evaluating MP and would like to get your input on a few issues:

Using asp.net web pages and using calls to the API, can I get a list of content pages or any other type of content such a blog entries, tags etc? pages in a site node? pages by search?

Can I use the API to add comments "control" to a section of a web page?

Thanks

Moshe
