CMIS Support from Apache Chemistry

Hi there,

MojoPortal has got many interesting features. But once I'm missing. This Project has no support for CMIS.

It would be a killerfeature if DotCMIS from Apache Chemistry http://chemistry.apache.org/dotnet/dotcmis.html would been integrated.

That would it makes even more interesting to deploy it on larger installations. Share your Content on mass from your large organisation from MS Sharepoint, SAP Knowlegetree or in my case Nuxeo DAM. Display something directly inside MonoPortal. Offer files like PDF, Docs or archives to download. Also users could share some gadgets. Have profit with Nuxo and Mojoportal an have an impressive Assetmanagment-Suite from Nuxeo

Sensenet (.Net) is by the way to offer it. On Drupal (PHP) they are developing hard. Typo3 (PHP) has a client but the development has been stocked currently. Liferay 6.0.x could do it primitive. 6.1 is currently broken (danger to use) but has more functionallty.

Mojoportal could run on on Linux, Solaris, Windows or in my Case FreeBSD.  Also it could use PostgreSQL. And with CMIS it would be awesome.

Re: CMIS Support from Apache Chemistry

Hi,

CMIS has been on my radar for a while, I'm glad to know there is a .NET library that can help with that.

So you are envisioning a feature that can consume lists of documents from external sources like Sharepoint or Nuxeo and display them with links in mojoPortal?

I could experiment with trying to build one but I don't really have any external sources or sharepoint or nuxeo sites to consume data from. Do you have any that you could expose for my use in testing/development purposes?

Best,

Joe

Re: CMIS Support from Apache Chemistry

Hey Joe :)

Yes that would be no problem. I've a box in the internet where it is installed. But currently they is under heavy load because I've to push my new project webterrorist and the box works as buildserver too. I think next week I could you give an FreeBSD Jail where it is everything installed. I like Mojoportal because people with poor skills on IT could use it and it is no crappy PHP they I've to fix 24/7/365. And it's lightwight. Liferay could do much more. But it's a real fat app and I couldn't give it everyone.

Also I could build you a VM that you could download
