Cascading Content Style Templates for multi site installations

Hi Joe,

Just curious if there is support for setting up content style templates that cascade through relatedsitemode so I can set them once and use them in all my child sites.

Cheers,

Beth

Re: Cascading Content Style Templates for multi site installations

Hi Beth,

The skins we ship are self contained in that all the needed files are in the skin folder, this makes it easier to re-distribute a skin so that people can just drop it in and use it, but, it is possible to organize your CSS so that it is in a common location shared by multiple skins as described in the Understanding the style.config article. The layout.master, theme.skin and style.config files must exist in the skin folder itself but the style.config file can point to css files outside the skin folder in a common location making it easier to share css across multiple skins without having to maintain separate copies.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: Cascading Content Style Templates for multi site installations

Hi Joe,

I am using global style sheets for my sites as instructed in the link you provided.  What I am curious about it being able to set a content style template so that a style is selectable in the WYSIWYG dropdown for 'styles' as defined here: https://www.mojoportal.com/creating-content-style-templates.aspx

So far I'm having to set it on a site-by-site basis, and am wondering if I can set it for the parent site and it be cascaded to the child sites.

Thanks,

Beth

Re: Cascading Content Style Templates for multi site installations

Hi Beth,

There is not currently a way to share those across sites, generally mojoPortal is designed for sites to be separate, related sites mode only applies to users and roles not to content. However, you "could" alter the procedure mp_ContentStyle_SelectAllActive so that it doesn't use the SiteGuid and just returns all of them for all sites.

Best,

Joe
