go-daddy "use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application lev"

I'm trying to install mojoportal-2-2-3-4-mssqlreleasefiles.zip on Go-Daddy and am having some problems that I haven't found in the documentation. I've set /cms/Data folder for read, web, browse, write, set root... I'll bet I should set /cms as application root. Yup, that fixed it. I'm posting this so I'll have it as a reference in the future. (Hope that's OK Joe!)

Re: go-daddy "use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application lev"

I also have this problem. I'm trying to install 2 mojoportals on my server, one for french and the other for english. I made the one at /en/ to be the content root and /fr/ to be some other virtual directory. The /en/ works perfectly, the /fr/ throws the error you are getting. Any suggestions to this?

Re: go-daddy "use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application lev"

Did you know that mojoPortal allows you to have multiple sites within one mojoPortal installation? I don't know about language differences in this situation, but; it just might fix your problems.

Re: go-daddy "use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application lev"

I agree with Dale, if you are making a different language version of the same site you do not need another installation of mojoPortal. You can install it in the root not in a folder and create the default language content there, then using folder based child sites you can create the other languages in sub folders as described here without needing additional installations of mojoPortal:

Hope it helps,

Joe
