I have created a site called demo.example.com. the main site is example.com. I am not sure where the location or path is of the subdomain.
during testing on my local iis i created a record for my subdomain site in host file. Do i have to do the same on my hosting provider?? create an A record and point to IP of domain??
yes, hosts file only works for local testing. On the internet you have to use a DNS A record that points the host name to the ip address of the web site.
