Content Workflow and Content Administrators

Hi Joe and all.

The situation is that we have a site that our primary webmaster (with the Administrators role) has edited heavily in draft mode, in anticipation of making all of the new content live on Monday. She is now on vacation, and the backup admins have the Content Administrators role, and are tasked with approving all of her changes on Monday morning to make them live.

The problem we have is that the Content Administrators are not seeing any of the content workflow approval/revert controls. I have the Administrators role and have verified that I can see the draft instances and have the content workflow controls.

Is there some piece of configuration I might be missing, or does this sound like a bug? We're running a build from about a week after 2.3.7.1 was released (to incorporate bug fixes).

Unfortunately I can't test this scenario on demo since content workflow is not enabled there.

Hi Jamie,

I'm not sure this problem was in version 2.3.7.0.

2.3.7.1 was never released but was an interim version only existing in the source code repository. The fixes I made in 2.3.7.0 were all backported to a copy of that version but other changes were also in the repository that were not backported to the 2.3.7.0 release, so in making your own build you got additional changes.

But, at any rate, I was able to reproduce this problem using the latest code and it is now fixed in the source code repository and will be fixed in the new release which I plan to ship tomorrow.

Awesome Joe, I appreciate it. I'll set our content admins to administrators in the meantime to work around this.
