Delete all unused content, and improve methods of deleting individuals

When a site gets large, with multiple authors (with different attitudes to web site hygiene!) it becomes quite laborious to keep the site clean from unused content instances (accidents and desertions). The Content Manager shows at a glance whether each item has been used, but to delete one we then have to click Publish/Delete, the scroll down miles or go to bottom (large site!), then click Delete and then click OK.

A couple of minor tweaks would speed up this process, such as:

  • Make the # a separate column in the Content Manager, allowing a sort to bring the zeroes to the top.
  • Add a delete button to the Content Manager table.
  • Put the Delete button at the top of the "Publishing for..." page to avoid the long scroll; (this not needed if the previous one can be done).

But really I'd love a button on the Content Manager "Delete all unpublished content". This would need a very clear confirmation!

I've not used the workflow feature, but clearly this would not apply to draft content.
