'compilerVersion' attribute in the provider options must be 'v4.0'

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

'compilerVersion' attribute in the provider options must be 'v4.0'

Hi

I've installed Mojoportal on one test machine without any problems.

but on a second test machine i get the following error as part of the install process.

I've googled the error  and tried a number of solutions without any luck

Machine :  Windows 7 , SQL Server 2008,  IIS 7.5   Visual studio 2010

 

any ideas on how to fix this ?

The value for the 'compilerVersion' attribute in the provider options must be 'v4.0' or later if you are compiling for version 4.0 or later of the .NET Framework. To compile this Web application for version 3.5 or earlier of the .NET Framework, remove the 'targetFramework' attribute from the <compilation> element of the Web.config file.

did as the error message stated ...  plus removed an old web config from DNN !!
