Web Platform Installation - Microsoft WebMatrix - create new database

Hi all,

I am trying to download mojoportal using Microsoft WebMatrix and before the installation completes it asks to create and or/use an existing database with sa as database administrator? I do not even know what the user is? Sorry, I am VERY new to all this...

Best regards,

Shawn

Re: Web Platform Installation - Microsoft WebMatrix - create new database

If you don't know about databases then it would probably be much easier for you to use our package for SQL CE, because SQL CE is a simple file based database with nothing to install or configure, so it is much easier to get going.

See the article Using WebMatrix to Run the SQL CE Version of mojoPortal.

Then later if you decide you need a more robust database like SQL Server/SQL Express, there is a migration path.

Hope that helps,

Joe
