SSO Configuration

Hi,

I am trying to implement/configure SSO on mojoportal. Users will not sign-in again on portal. For e.g, the website is launched by passing a querystring parameter like uid=joe, from another website/page. Is there anyway to configure, to auto sign-in for the user (password checking not required, as calling program already done it).

Is there a way to configure such thing? Or if I overwrite the Login.aspx & launch it from other website/page, using the querystring parameter like above, what steps/code is required to set the user as logged in & to set all other information like role..etc & redirect to Home/Default.aspx?

Its very urgent. Thanks in advance.

Re: SSO Configuration

Sorry but authenticating someone automatically because of a query string parameter passed in an url is a sure way to not have any security at all. I have no advice for that goal.

Re: SSO Configuration

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the response.

What I meant was, as the user is already authenticated in the caller page, user will not be authenticated again. But, I still need to validate the user in mojoportal, except that I dont validate the password.

I have done the below.

1. created a new page MyLogin.aspx to get the user from querystring (page with no-design)

2. validate the user (currently done manually to check in the db, but want to replace with built-in function, if any, which validates the user without password)

3. create siteuser

4. set authentication cookie

5. redirect to default.aspx (is there any built-in function instead of doing redirect("../default.aspx")??)

6. if anything fails, redirect to Login.aspx

hope the above steps are correct? please correct me if I am wrong. can you advice on #2/#5 above?

Thanks.
