Regarding mojo portal Forum feature

Hi,

We are planning to use mojoPortal for our website to make use of the Forum feature.

I have some queries about the Forums feature.

1. is there any settings to control the replies which is coming from visitors? ie; There should be moderator (internal) before publishing the replies on the site.. is it possible to achieve this functionality?

2. is there any settings to allow the visitors also to post / view the posts?

Thanks,

Aparna Varma - Quipment India

Re: Regarding mojo portal Forum feature

Our forum feature is fairly rudimentary, it does not yet support pre-moderation before posts are visible, but a user with edit roles on the page or feature instance can moderate after posts are made by either editing or deleting posts from other users. You can get email notification of posts so that you can manage them quickly. It is a planned feature to add pre-moderation, just not sure how soon we will get to that.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: Regarding mojo portal Forum feature

There was also another Mojo Portal forum module going on as an alternate, but I don't know what happened to it which would have all of that I think, but I'll check with those folks and see what happened to it.  Joe, you probably remember what I'm talking about.

Re: Regarding mojo portal Forum feature

If Aparna Varma is interested in integrating YAF (Yet Another Forum) into mojoPortal, YAF developer Bob posted instructions in this thread. The integration is not foolproof, and will definitely require a lot of tinkering as new YAF versions are released, so it's not for the faint of heart.
