If you have questions about using mojoPortal, you can post them here.

You may want to first review our site administration documentation to see if your question is answered there.

Members with no email address

We are building a series of sites that are for users that will often not have any email address. The membership of these sites is strictly controlled (e.g. no on-line registration process) and users will be set up by staff members.

We are hoping to use mojoPortal as the basis for these sites, but the requirement that all users must have an email address is a show stopper for us. So far I have not found any option to turn off this requirement.

Is there any way to either turn off, or work around, the requirement that all members must have an email address?

Re: Members with no email address

You can uncheck the "Use Email For Login" in Site Settings so users will login with a user name instead, and when you manually create users you can make up a unique but not valid email address to put there. But of course users will not be able to receive any email from the site if they don't have a valid email address.

Hope that helps,

Joe
