Bug in canonical url when using Blog module

Hi

Following our regular linkcheck we have identified a bug in the canonical url when using the Blog module. I can demonstrate that on all our Blog articles in one site using the latest MojoPortal version (2.3.6.5 MySQL). On another of our sites running a slightly older version (2.3.5.8 MySQL) we don't see the problem, so the bug must have been introduces somewhere in between.

But rather than showing it from my own sites I can just show it right here on MojoPortal. If you look at the source code for e.g. this page: http://www.mojoportal.com/mojoportal-2250-released.aspx - you will find this code approx line 25: <link rel='canonical' href='http://www.mojoportal.comhttp://www.mojoportal.com/mojoportal-2250-released.aspx' />, which makes no sense as a link. I guess the problem has quite some impact on indexing in Google, so please take a look at it.

Apart from this there has gone pretty long time since we have had any severe issues with this great CMS system. So thanks a lot for a great MojoPortal cheeky.

Thanks
Lars

Re: Bug in canonical url when using Blog module

Hi Lars,

Thanks for the bug report. This is now fixed in the source code repository and will be fixed in the next release.

Best,

Joe
