page url and ip-address

Hi,

I have a question and I was unable to find similar topics - basicly because I'm not sure what to search for.

I have just (proudly) created my website and it is available on the following url; http://www.bovinet-online.com/

1. All pages that I create, appear to link to the ip-address instead of the url (so when I click on the logo, it will link to http://91.208.60.140/Default.aspx instead of http://www.bovinet-online.com/Default.aspx). Is this on purpose?

2. When I click to sub pages, the url in the web browser remains 'http://www.bovinet-online.com/' no matter which page I select. Suprisingly (to me at least..) my browser(s) do understand which page they need to store when I add a page to the favorites - how does this work?

Thanks for helping me understanding this.

Best regards,

Erik

Re: page url and ip-address

My first guess is that you have some strange routing/proxy configuration going on and the web server does not see the host name in the request headers or does not see itself as resolving to that host name.

But actually when I visit your site I see it is running inside a frame so your domain resolves to the frame address then they show your site inside the frame using its ip address. Looks like some strange hosting arrangement to me.

Best,

Joe

Re: page url and ip-address

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your response. It explains both the weird behaviour I was seeing and the reason why I could not find anything about this issue on mojoPortal.

I got the issue solved with your answer.

Thanks,

Erik
