Newsletter renders incorrectly in Outlook 2010

Newsletter renders incorrectly in Outlook 2010

We are running the latest version (2.3.6.4 MSSQL) of MojoPortal on Windows Server 2003 SP2, .NET 4.0, Full Trust.

We are trying to roll out our first newsletter using the default "template1".  We are sending a preview to 2 different people.  One using Outlook 2003, and the other using Outlook 2010.  The newsletter renders correctly in Outlook 2003, not in Outlook 2010.  Has anyone had a similar experience?  Where would I start trying to find the problem?

Never mind.  I did some more research and found that Microsoft, as of version 2007 of Outlook, is using Word as the rendering engine for HTML email instead of IE.  Word only supports a subset of CSS attributes.  The rendering issue because of this.

Hi,

Admittedly, the template(s) we have included in mojoPortal is about as ugly as it gets. You can get a bunch of much nicer free templates from Campaign Monitor and most of them should work better with outlook. No matter the email client, html email is a much different animal than web page html.
