LDAP Authenication doesnt work

Hi,

When I am checking up the option "Use LDAP for Authentication?:" & making every other settings available. The Site Settings Page throws an error  something like following....

We're sorry but a server error has occurred while trying to process your request.

The error has been logged and will be reviewed by our staff as soon as possible. It is possible that the error was just a momentary hiccup and you may wish to use the back button and try again or go back to the home page.

As your documention also doesnt say anything about this. Please advice what to do.

Re: LDAP Authenication doesnt work

I can't help unless I know what the error is. You can look in the ~/Data/currentlog.config file for error messages.

Or you can edit the Web.config, set customerrors=Off and it will display the error in the page instead of showing the friendly error message. On production servers best to have customerrors=RemoteOnly which will prevent hackers/users from seeing the error details but for troubleshooting the problem its ok to set customerrors=Off temporarily.
