Can't change site icon?

Hi, I'm having a issue with the site icon. I've set the icon to blank in the administration section, and also uploaded a custom favicon, however when using an iPhone or iPad, and I save the site to the home screen, rather than using the favicon as the iPhone icon, it uses a picture of the dog (one of mojoportal icons) I can't find anyway to change this, Any help will be appreciated Regards

Re: Can't change site icon?

Hi Simon,

It does not use the .ico file. If you look in the root of the web site you will see the file apple-touch-icon.png, you can replace this file with a custom file using the same name. Note however that you will need to be careful when upgrading otherwise the one that ships with mojoPortal will overwrite your custom one. So you'll need to remember to either remove it from the mojoPortal  package before upgrading or restore your custom one after upgrading.

Best,

Joe

Re: Can't change site icon?

ah, i see it now,

however, if this is a multi site installation of Mojo, this would mean all sites would share the same iphone icon....

Is there a way around this so each site could have an individual icon?

regards

Re: Can't change site icon?

A quick google found this article, and it indicates that you can specify an alternate file from a meta tag in the head, so you could add this to your layout.master file in your skin.

<link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="/customIcon.png"/>

Hope it helps,

Joe
