ie9 RC issues rendering edit panel

I have just installed ie9 RC and have been constantly frustrated by it's performance and websites stop working. On top of my frustrations it also appears to affect how I view the editor control panel. If I edit a plain HTML section on a mojoportal page when using ie9 I do not get the toolbars displayed to format the text. I just get a text box with either the page text or the source code. I appreciate that this is still a revlease candidate version of the internet explorer and that it is not mojoportals issue but microsofts, but as it affects MP you may want to make them aware of the issue.

You may want to check in with the individual editors' project sites support pages, and see what they are saying about this:

FCKeditor/CKeditor

TinyMCE

If this is a universal problem, I'm sure it will be resolved by the editors or Microsoft before IE9 is officially released.

As Jamie said, after the final release of IE 9 you can bet that the makers of the editors will be on top of it and we will upgrade the editors included in mojoPortal whenever they are available. Myself I'm not worrying at all about IE 9 until it is officially released. Once that happens we will evaluate it and look for problems and if problems are found we will look for solutions.

fyi, CKeditor released an update today to support IE 9 RC

http://ckeditor.com/blog/CKEditor_3.5.2_released

I've already upgraded the source code in the repository, so this will be in the next release (unless they come out with an even newer one before the next release of mojoPortal).
