I want poll to allow more than one vote

I am creating a band website. I used the Poll Feature so the fans could vote for there favorite top ten songs from the song list. Unfortunately it only allowed me to choose one vote. Is there an attribute or setting that will allow me to give the user 10 votes instead of one? Or will I need to create a custom feature to do this? Most of the database parts I would need are therenbut I don't see any field that will allow me to change that setting.

Re: I want poll to allow more than one vote

I guess you will have to clone it because it does not work that way and it is a strange request in my opinion and not something I want to change in our Poll feature at this time. A Poll is designed for one vote per user and steps are taken to try to make a poll accurate and meaningful and to prevent manipulation of results, giving users more votes seems to go against the very purpose of a poll. As a user I would not expect a poll to give me 10 votes.

Best,

Joe

Re: I want poll to allow more than one vote

Hi Salomos. One way you might do this is via Joe's great add-on product Form Wizard Pro. That will allow you to set up a form with checkboxes, so people could select more than one choice per answer.

Re: I want poll to allow more than one vote

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for suggesting Form Wizard Pro, it could be used for capturing the data, but it does not show results like the Poll feature, and I think that is what he wants. Form Wizard Pro is better at Surveys, it's something I "may" consider in the future for Form Wizard Pro to have public reporting on Form Results and then maybe it could work as a Poll. But even if I ever do that, it would be designed with one vote per user. Multiple votes per user just doesn't make sense to me as a use case that I want to support. If someone really has that use case in mind they could clone the Poll and modify it according to their needs, but it seems like a niche special case scenario to me.

Best,

Joe
