I am about to use MojoPortal for the first time and trying to install MojoPortal with MySQL on my local machine. Here are some details:
My Local machine: Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 My Sql Database: MySQL 5.0 MojoPortal version: mojoportal-2-3-5-8-b-mssql-net35-deploymentfiles.zip Mojo Portal My SQL Data Layer: mojoportal-2-3-5-8-mysqldatalayer-GPL.zip
I have done the following:
1. I have created a new database, created a user with all permissions and assigned to this database. 2. Copied the MySql data layer files to the installation. 3. Configured IIS7 and given Network Services permission to the data and App_Data folder. 4. Modified User.config with correct db name, user and password. 5. When I try to open the localhost on my web browser, it say everything is fine, but does not run those installation scripts as explained in the documentation. I have pasted the log displayed on my browser below. Any inputs or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Probing system... File system permissions ok. MySQL database connection ok. database permissions are sufficient to alter schema. database initial schema needs to be created. Note: This page shows some information that is helpful during setup and upgrades but for security it would be best not to show any information when the system is up to date. You can disable setup and suppress all information on this page by setting DisableSetup=true in Web.config. When you need to upgrade, you can set this back to false. If you are logged in as Administrator setup will run and you will be able to see this page even if it is disabled in Web.config so you can easily leave it disabled and just login before upgrading. But if you are not logged in you will need to enable setup in Web.config.

I think you did not copy the /Setup folder from the MySql data layer, you need to do that or there are no scripts for it to run.

Thanks for the quick and wonderful response. I did what you said and the installation is complete and I am able to login now. I guess I had forgotten to copy those files in a hurry.
