Adding forum

Hi

Anyone having the same problem of adding af forum?

I have an old forum module running + tried to create a new forum module on a new page, which only allows certain user-roles to access and edit.

For some reason I can not add forums to the module, but I get no error log. It just gives me a screen error that I do not have access to the page: "Either you are not currently logged in, or you do not have access to this page within the site. Please contact the site administrator to obtain access."

This goes for both the special user role and for me as admin. And now I also discovered this to be true for the old forum module, which I previously could add forums to. So maybe it's a general setting or a bug?

I can actually add a forum manually directly in the mp_Forums table. So that's my short term solution for now.

I run version 2.3.5.8 with MySql on IIS7 medium trust.

Best regards

Lars Rathje

Re: Adding forum

Hi Lars,

I think this bug did exist in the initial release of version 2.3.5.8, but the next day it was patched and new files were uploaded as 2.3.5.8.b. If you download the release again, you should only have to replace the dll files in the /bin folder and it should fix this problem.

Best,

Joe
