Pretty sure this has to do with my setup, but any advice is appreciated.
i have added the forum feature on a page, ive selected "Add forum", entered the appropriate details and clicked "Create New Forum".
Im then presented with the AccessDenied.aspx page.
I am the administrator of the site..
there are no issues in the log.

I think this was a bug in the 2.3.5.8 release, but the day after the release it was patched and the files were uploaded again as 2.3.5.8.b, so if you upgrade to the latest files I think it will fix this problem.
