Excluding feature instances and / or pages from search

Is it possible to exclude feature instances and / or pages from the site search? We have landing pages that we want to exclude from the site search. These landing pages are publicly accessible, so using roles won't work.

Thanks,

Kevin

Re: Excluding feature instances and / or pages from search

Hi Kevin,

It is not currently possible, but I will add wish list items in our project tracker to add settings to disable indexing of pages and/or feature instances.

Best,

Joe

Re: Excluding feature instances and / or pages from search

fyi, today I implemented an option for excluding instances of the Html content feature from the search index, so this will be in the next release (it is in the source code repository now). I figure the Html content feature is the main thing you would use on landing pages such as this. A checkbox will show up on the General tab in feature instance settings for Html feature so you can uncheck it, then the next time you edit the content it will clear out if it was already indexed before the setting was changed, so you do have to edit it after you uncheck this setting.

Best,

Joe

Thanks Joe! That should do the trick.
