After upgrade to latest code layout does not match

Hey Joe,

HELP!!!!

www.lakeshoregardens.org I updated to the latest code and I have lost some of the layout.

My side panels nolong have the correct layout, the background is not the same.

I'm not sure what is going on, I made sure that the skin is the same and it's not reading it the same or I did something wrong.

Please please let me know where I can send you a screen show of how the content should look via what the site has now.

Thanks,

Mark

Re: After upgrade to latest code layout does not match

Hi Mark,

The issue with your skin has nothing to do with the upgrade and everything to do with the fact that the site is hosted in medium trust.

As indicated in the bottom of this document:

http://www.mojoportal.com/creating-skins-from-artisteer-html-templates.aspx

you need to copy the theme.skin file from your skin folder into App_Themese/default folder

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: After upgrade to latest code layout does not match

Joe,

YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!

That fixed the skin issue, I completely missed the theme.skin item in all my sites, I was not doing that, so I need to go back and make sure I have that correct on all sites before I upgrade.

Now, I'm just working on the upload issue.

Thanks,Mark

Re: After upgrade to latest code layout does not match

This is not an  upgrade issue at all. The issue with medium trust and theme.skin files is the same in all versions of mojoPortal. Note that the issue with theme.skin files in medium trust only affects .NET 3.5, it works ok in .NET 4. So it is best when possible to use .NET 4 hosting.

Re: After upgrade to latest code layout does not match

Hi Mark,

Last night I had a realization why it seems like an upgrade issue to you. You probably previously had put your theme.skin file in /App_Themes/default so it was working fine, but what you need to keep in mind is that when you upgrade it will overwrite that file again with the original theme.skin file that ships with mojoportal in the /App_Theme/default folder. So when you upgrade you either need to remove that file from the package before uploading the new version or be aware that you need to restore that file to App_Theme/default after each upgrade.

Best,

Joe
