View original uploaded picture in gallery ?

View original uploaded picture in gallery ?

Hi

Is there anyway to view the original uploaded pictures in the gallery ? The default upload size is 550x550 pixels which is fine for browsing the pictures, but it would be nice to be able to click on a picture and see the original size picture uploaded. Is this possible ?

If its not possible then I guess the only solution is to re-upload all the pictures with a larger size than 550x550 ? That raises another question : How do I delete all the pictures in my galleries the easiest way ?

Hi Bjorn,

It does keep the original but when using the lightbox there isn't currently a way to get to them. If you go into the settings and check the box for "Compact Mode", then it will show the web size image in the page instead of inside a lightbox, and if you click the web size image it opens the full size one.

Thanks for the answer :)

Lightbox is imo the best way to browse through the pictures. All that is needed is a small ikon next to each thumbnail to download/view the original picture. Is this possible to make ?

It is possible but not trivial to implement. Currently the lightbox is just loading the images directly so there is not a way to add extra markup. It would require creating and using a dialog page to show the images and then extra markup could be added to the dialog.

I will add a wish list item for this in my project tracker but can't promise when this will be implemented.

Hi Joe, thanks for the answer.

I didnt mean inside the Lightbox, but just on the "html" page, where the thumbnails are viewed. Have a small "Download" icon next to each picture that just links to the fullsize picture.
