"Remember me on this computer" and Sign In Event

Hi Joe and All,
I successfully created a custom SignIn event handler for executing some logic after sign in. I noticed that when a user checks the "Remember me on this computer" checkbox, and re-enter the site, the signIn event does not fire and my code is not executed.
How can I catch the "login-by-cookies" event?

Thank you for your support!

Andrea

Re: "Remember me on this computer" and Sign In Event

Hi Andrea,

The only difference between an unauthenticated user and an authenticated one is the presence of a valid authentication cookie. The remember me just makes it a persistent cookie that lasts across browser sessions. There is no event when a user returns to your site and already has the cookie, they are already logged in so no new login event fires and there is no such thing as a cookie event.

Hope it helps,

Joe
