google maps - map vs. satellite view, image size, zoom level, other options

I have seen some google maps on mojoportal sites that show the maps, some that show satellite views, some that are zoomed way in and way out, and some that have a larger view size than mine. (Meaning that show a larger image, measured in screen pixels VxH)

All of mine so far show only satellite view -- I can't get the real maps to show.

When I add a map feature to a page on my mojoportal site, I do not see any options, and I just use the full street address.

I do not see where to change any of these options.

Is this covered in documentation somewhere?
