RSS & Ads links code

Hi,

Need some help!

I have added RSS, Google Ads & a few other script links to my site and would like to find out if there is any code or setting that I can use to make the link/s open in another page or tab without forcing all links on the site to do the same. My site is mostly a closed login user only site and find it a bit annoying when using a link that takes me away from the site to the page requested. All I have done for now is advise users to right click the link for options to select tab etc... but this is not a practical way, any advise or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Len

Re: RSS & Ads links code

Hi Len,

I really think that teaching users this very basic web browser skill about how to open links in a new tab or window is the best solution. Once a user knows how to use a web browser then it becomes annoying when a site opens a new window that I did not intend to open.

However there are ways of opening external links with javascript/jquery for those who think this is a good idea, I'm just not one who thinks that.

Not sure it can work for google ads though since those are coming from javascript also.

Best,

Joe

Re: RSS & Ads links code

Thanks Joe,

I understand what you are saying and I agree, I personally like to be in control of the tabs or windows. Have some older generation users that are very hard to convince that this is the way to go. Thanks for the link very handy.

Cheers

Len
