Mojoportal on Azure

Hi Joe,

I'm a fresh .Net developer and I have request from a client to build a .Net website on Azure platform.

I'm quite interested to use your CMS in order to build the website because I've found it's very easy to use and have most of the features

that the client require.

As mentioned this website will be on Azure platform and as I know the charge for this Azure is based on the db hits and also the amount of data retrieved

from the database. (correct me if i'm wrong)

What my concern is whether mojoportal is optimized enough for the Azure lets say reducing the db hits or any other issues that you can explain to me.

Because I do not want my client to be overcharge.

hope to get your reply soon.

thanks

Re: Mojoportal on Azure

mojoPortal can use SqlAzure but it cannot currently run on the Azure fabric.

Best,

Joe

Re: Mojoportal on Azure

I have successfully run mojoPortal on Windows Azure, but still working on what will be our guidance documentation for Azure. One thing that doesn't work at the moment is our internal Lucene.net search engine, but it can be disabled on Azure by config settings and we have built in support for using google or bing for site search as an alternative. So we are not quite there yet on officially supporting Windows Azure, but we are getting close.

Best,

Joe
