Graphics on new site showing as red x

I've just created a new portal and .png files that I'm trying to add to a new document are showing up as a red x to users that arn't logged on. Once I'm logged on it's fine. I thought mybe it was permissions but I've checked all that and now I'm not sure.

Hi,

Please tell steps to produce the problem or try to reproduce it on demo.mojoportal.com so I can see it.

Best,

Joe

You can go to my portal at www.surfprimate.com and I'm just trying to add the graphic in the article on the main page.

Once I sign in it shows up fine.

Re: Graphics on new site showing as red x

I see, you are trying to use download links from the file manager to return the file. That will not work because the file manager service does require a user in a correct role.

All you need to do is click the button in the editor for image and then click the button to browse the server and select your image. This way it creates a normal url not a url to the file manager service.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Graphics on new site showing as red x

Well, I had done that before and was still getting the big red X!!! Blah... Now I've tried again this morning and lo and behold it works fine...

I read something earlier about changing the web site location and monkeying with it in iis... I think originally my path was all messed up. I did a complete reload last night (VM servers rock!) and put the artical back up by pasting the link in the document.

Seems to be working <the way it should> now.

Rob
