Contact Form Messages and YUI-Panel

Contact Form Messages and YUI-Panel

Why does the Contact Form Messages page (ContactForm\MessageList.aspx) use a yui-panel for displaying messages? This seems a little unnecessary considering it is a separate page from the Contact Form Module. This type of setup does add more work for skinning. It would make sense if the list was displayed on top of the Contact Form itself.

I agree with you. I should make it a dialog window with greybox. I'm also looking into re-doing it with jQuery to remove the YUI dependency.

fyi, I just uploaded mojoPortal 2.3.3.4.B to our Novell Forge download page and working on uploading to Codeplex now. This version now uses GreyBox dialog for viewing the messages and the layout panel uses jQuery instead of YUI.

Glad you prompted me on this, the previous implementation was rather unconventional, it needed to be changed.
