lack of usegooglecdn and yui files damaging site performance?

Does NOT having the google files or YUI files on my server slow down performance on my site?  I did a brand new install using the web installer and I now takes me 5 or six minutes to update 1 page and that is if i do not time out. I have actaully blew out the server today and now have only my site running on it.

I keep also getting services not available since i upgraded or the site times out all together?

if it is that I need to down load these files can you guys provide the link for me. I am no brainiac when it comes to this and I don't mind saying i am stupid. But i really need help, I am suppose to go live tomorrow.

Re: lack of usegooglecdn and yui files damaging site performance?

If your site is on the internet and your visitors have internet access (ie it is not on a local network) then you should use the Google CDN. If you configure it to not use the Google CDN then you must install the files locally as described here:

http://www.mojoportal.com/intranets-and-private-networks.aspx

If your site is online, tell me the url and I will take a look at it.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: lack of usegooglecdn and yui files damaging site performance?

Hello Joe,

the site is http://pinkfashionista.com

i jus came in and i got the service not avaialble message again.  i noticed that the i had to re-start the application pool again, so what i did is i disabled / unchecked the shut down process option in the application pool. This server is being used for one reason only. running two sites, http://yoursellingnetwork.com and http://pinkfashionista.com , installed as one file multi site settings set to true.

Also, you spoke to my brother Luis several months ago, wew ould like to be sponsors for MojoPortal, we have already a group of advertisers that will start to pay us as fashion week approaches in February. Could you send me the following;

1. What it takes to be a sponsor

2. Can you recommend or oversee a third party project to blend into mojo-portal?

also, we already have 25 to 30 fashion designers that would like sites built off of mojo portal. Can we become your re-sellers on hosting (we want to self hosts only our site) and can we put a list of MOJO Certified graphics/web developers on our site as a resource (yes, we need your help to get the word out to developers)

And, I beg for an answer on. I changed every location on the styleshour-citrus to #FFOOFF and at best I was only able to change the title and Welcome txt to pink, everything else stayed orange. Can you pease help me on this  Im right now  the orange Fashionista.

Thanks

Jenna

Re: lack of usegooglecdn and yui files damaging site performance?

Hi Jenna,

We can discuss sponsorship and recommendations for help for your projects and hosting by email (joe dot audette at g mail dot com).

For now lets focus on getting your site working. Something is crashing it.

Do you know what version of mojoPortal you are using?

Is it a dedicated server? Would you be interested in purchasing a support ticket and enable me to remote desktop to the server to troubleshoot the problem?

If that is not possible then you could email me the log file at /Data/currentlog.config so I can see if there are helpful clues. If I could remote in I would check the event viewer and other configuration.

It will be difficult to diagnose the css issue until the site can stay online long enough took into it.

Best,

Joe
