newsletter and member list problems

hi Joe,
i'm running last version .16 and I have some questions about NewsLetter:

a) == Image ====================
even using the business1 template (configuring the .config) nor generating a new template an Image will be
show receiving the e-mail... it means I can see rhe image when I'm in administration-newsletter menu.. but
as a user receiving the mail the image is lost..

b) == setting default newsletter as true =======
is there a way to set a global parameter so if a user register as new the "newsletter" flag is set by
default as true ?..

Could be great if the parameter is set at the single newsletter level

c) == setting default newsletter as true =======
in user profile, newsletter settings, the description field of the newsletter is very tooooo short

d) ==== deleting newsletter
in administration/newsletter there is no way to DELETE a newsletter... (witch could be happen, for example if a letter was made for test, or if I have very old to delete.. and so on)

'JUST an other thing...NOT RELATED with Newsletter

If I set a user to be NOT show on Member List, there is no way (even accessing through administration panel) to re-enable the user to be shown...

well.. I could access to one "not show" user profile thought the administration/newsletter panel.. because it was a user witch I sent previously a News.. but every change I made on the profile (or even only clicking on save bottom) gives me the error message: "The email address provided is already in use. "

Hi,

The image in that template does not have a fully qualified url, it would need that to work and then still some email clients will block images.

I do not currently have a good way to make the default pre-selected on the newsletter signup options. At some point I will probably implement that.

The description renders in a div inside an li, there is no limit on the size, you can adjust layout by css.

There are delete buttons for newsletters are you saying they don't work for you?

Users not shown in the member will show up on member list for admin if he searches on the user name or email. I do not get any errors updating a user that is hidden. Maybe you mean a user that is "deleted" in the case where site settings is configure dto not really delete users but just flagg them as deleted.

Hi joe,

ok... image works with fully qualified url

for the rest all warks. it's ok

for view users may be could be a suggestion that ONLY logging as ADMIN and choosing member from administration panel, the returning list is not filtered on the hidden flag ... it make it more easy to have a full overview as ADMIN when you have a lot of authenticated users and you dont know exactly who is hidden and his user name or email
