Feed Manager Title and Content

Can the Feed Manager grab the general title of the module in the RSS feed. For instance, if the feed manager gets a blog module feed, in front of the excerpt of the Blog content can the title of the blog module be included. When you have feed excerpts coming from dozens of blogs, it would be nice to have information on what blog. Typically the user does not put that type of information in the blog content itself. Maybe a RSSAddTitle check box in the Blog Module to turn on/off.

Re: Feed Manager Title and Content

I will add a setting in the Feed Manager that allows displaying the feed name as you enter it when you add the feed. I think it should be after the content or excerpt though similar to a signature. It will link to the post just as the post title does.

Would that suffice?

Best,

Joe

Re: Feed Manager Title and Content

Yes. Using the Feed Name as you setup the feed in the Feed Manager is perfect. I am in the air about before or after the excerpt. It is really going to anchor where the feed is coming from. When the Author was displaying after the excerpt, it looked like it was part of the content excerpt. Didn't stand out and blended with the content. Even more confusing with the ..... Maybe before the content, enclosed it in Parenthesis?

Re: Feed Manager Title and Content

I'll add an option for showing it before the content and/or after the content and I'll make sure there is a css class you can use to style it. I don't want to hard code any parnetheses and force that on people but you could put parnetheses in the feed name if you wanted to.

Best,

Joe
