Form Wizard Pro - Developer / Partner Edition?

I am starting to deploy a number of mojoPortal based websites for clients hosted in their own environments or hosting providers.

My development or initial setup occurs on my local machine, then I stage it on one of my servers for review by my clients.  Upon their acceptance the new site / implementation gets migrated into their environment.

I would like to be able to offer my clients the form wizard feature, but I'm not sure any of the 3 editions really match my intended use.

Any suggestions?  Have you given any thought to a Developer Edition?

Thanks,

Jim

Re: Form Wizard Pro - Developer / Partner Edition?

Hi Jim,

If you are getting a good jump start on your customer projects with mojoPortal it seems reasonable that you could purchase a single installation license for each customer and thereby give a little support back to the project. Nothing stops you from marking it up or charging your customer an installation fee. If you start moving a lot of product I would consider giving you a discount.

I don't really want to sell developer licenses and I don't make the code available for derivative works at all as I feel I would soon be competing against my own product that others would be selling. I make the code available in the enterprise license only for code security audit purposes.

Best,

Joe

Re: Form Wizard Pro - Developer / Partner Edition?

Thanks Joe,

It's not so much the cost or supporting the project.  I think the form wizard has great functionality for my clients.

My question was more of the actual licensing or technical implementation.  Since I'm just getting started with mojoPortal I am not all that intimate with the inner workings of it yet and I wanted to be sure that I could have multiple mojoPortal website and database instances on the same machine without licensing or activation conflicts between the different sites.

Will I be able to install the form wizard on my local machine for development / staging purposes then transfer it to my client's server?

Thanks,

Jim

Yes, the license allows using it on test machines in addition to production. There is no license key file or drm or activation involved. Nothing but your honesty forces you to comply with the license. The package has nothing in it to limit installations.

Best,

Joe
