Approval process for content changes

Hi Joe,

Thanks for all you do, you've done great stuff, I just have one question.

How do I insert a simple workflow that when changes are made to contents the changes gets forwarder to my email and once approved I can post the changes to the site?

thanks so much,

gil

Re: Approval process for content changes

Hi Gil,

Unfortunately this doesn't exist in mojoPortal today. Its on my Road Map, to work on this soon.

It is currently possible to implement an approval and publishing process as described at the bottom of this page:

http://www.mojoportal.com/rolesandpermissions.aspx

But there is nothing automatic to send emails to approvers, its on the author to email the approver a link to the content manually and on the approver to publish it when satisfied.

Best,

Joe

Re: Approval process for content changes

Thanks Joe, appreciate the quick response, I understand now so my work around to this would be to duplicate the mp_HtmlContent table and save the data temporarily while awaiting approval which is in mp_HtmlContentVersions (my copy of the table) status field. And then provide control that would publish (approve) the content once the admin is in the site and trigger the update to the original mp_HtmlContent table.

Thanks again.
