Comments module

Hi,

A feature that I could really use (forgive me if it's already in there, but I haven't seen it) is a comments module. Exactly like the blog comments module, but without the blog - for example, I have a few articles on my site. They're just single pages with an HTML module. I'd love the ability to add a comments module underneath it so people could leave their comments.

Oh, also, I made some modifications to the blog and blog comments modules for my site. I just made some modifications that make it a little more modern looking, and more inline with how most blog comments work now. For example, I added images from gravatar.com, got rid of the subject for comments (seems redundant) and added email instead, also reformatted things a little.  Eventually I'll add an option for the users to be notified in case there are new comments.

You can see it at http://www.inmindmotion.com/blog.aspx - it's not really launched yet, so there's not much activity!  If you like it, I can tell you exactly what changes I made - they were really very minor changes, but they make a big difference IMO!

Your new skin looks great!

Cheers

Chris

Re: Comments module

forgot to mention - i also only display the first 1000 characters (or so) of a blog post on the main page, so that really long blog posts don't take over the whole page. You have to click into it to read the whole thing.

Re: Comments module

Hi,

Content Comments, Content Ratings, and Content Versioning are planned features that will be built into the infrastructure so they can be used across features. I'm also looking into a gemeral tagging solution that can be used across features.

Hopefully I will get those features implemented within the next 3-4 months.

Best,

Joe
