Version 2.5 seems to be missing spellchecker plugin for TinyMCE

After upgrading to 2.5.0.0, my editor wouldn't work. The browser console revealed that plugin.min.js in the TinyMCE419/plugins/spellchecker folder couldn't be loaded.

This folder (spellchecker) appears to be missing entirely from the 2.5.0.0-mssql zip. I copied the spellchecker plugin from release 2.4.0.8/TinyMCE 4.1.7 which appears to work (at least the editor is loading).

Is the spellchecker plugin no longer supported or was that an oversight?

Thanks,

SA.

re: Version 2.5 seems to be missing spellchecker plugin for TinyMCE

Hi,

The spellchecker was removed from TinyMCE and CKeditor for the 2.4.0.9 release (I think, possibly it was the 2.4.1.0 release) before we took over the project.

We feel including a spellchecker in the editors isn't entirely necessary as Chrome, Firefox and Edge all include spellcheckers already.

So, if you want the editor spellchecker, you can include it yourself (as you have done).

Thank you for continuing to use mojoPortal.

Hope this helps,
Joe Davis

Joe,

thanks for the quick reply - somehow I missed that release note.

Really glad mojoPortal is living on though!

SA.
