Form Wizard Pro - installed, cannot use

I purchased FWP back in Aug and am just getting to setting it up on the clients sites. I am using SQLce and have installed it properly and can post it to a page. When I go to edit (create) the actual form I get:

I do NOT know if this is a version issue, but I have had literally HUNDREDS of issues with Arvixe hosting (all memory problems with the server they say) and because these have not been completely rectified (been over a year now) I do not want to make any changes to the main install if I dont have to. I also sent this information to support@mojoportal.com as it says in my original purchase email and got back an UNKNOWN USER response from the server. The client has balked for months and now wants it yesterday, this is the final piece before we go live. Please advise

Re: Form Wizard Pro - installed, cannot use

My reply is the same as it was when I emailed you in reply to your contact form submission:

For this problem I can say the only solution is to upgrade to a compatible version of mojoPortal, ideally the latest version. You can also download the latest version of Form Wizard Pro from your purchase history by logging in as the user that made the purchase and click the "My Account" link. So ideally you should upgrade to the latest version of both mojoPortal and Form Wizard to ensure compatibility.

The Form Wizard product page has information about the version history and required version of mojoPortal. If you had contacted us before installing it and told us your mojoPortal version from Administration > System Info then we could have sent you an older compatible version of Form Wizard. But since you already installed it, downgrading Form Wizard to an older version is not feasible and the only way forward is upgrading.
If you are starting a new site be advised that there will be a new release of mojoPortal and Form Wizard in the next few weeks mainly to update to a newer version of AjaxControlToolkit. Both mojoPortal and Form Wizard depend on the AjaxControlToolkit and must use the same version. Updates to the AjaxControlToolkit have historically been one of the main reasons why newer versions of Form Wizard cannot work with older versions of mojoPortal. Though your error is not because of this but instead because of a newer EmailValidator control that was introduced in a version of mojoPortal newer than the one you have now and the Form Wizard version you have installed depends on this control which does not exist in your version of mojoPortal.

we do not have an email address for support and no such address is listed anywhere on this site, we provide support here in in the forums

as far as issues with your hosting environment that is outside the scope of what I can address, you should address your host with those kinds of issues, if all else fails you could use a different host. I will say that probably using SQL CE was not the best choice, it is convenient from a deployment perspective but you would get better performance if you had used MS SQL which is much more robust. Definitely any site that gets major traffic should use a more robust db platform.

Re: Form Wizard Pro - installed, cannot use

Thank you for your quick response.

My reply is the same as it was when I emailed you in reply to your contact form submission

I received no reply, but such is the way of the internet

we do not have an email address for support and no such address is listed anywhere on this site, we provide support here in in the forums

Actually, the email receipt I received from PayPal has support@mojoportal.com as the contact email in 3 different places "should you have any issues" with this transaction. This was not intended as a criticism, only an FYI that you may want to address

As for hosting, I considered it many times and still may. I cannot post any questions to the forum about it because after all this time they cant tell me why it constantly returns intermittant 500 errors.

I am able to roll-back the installation, and I am willing to upgrade if need be, but I cannot find the original email purchase, only the PayPal confirmation. Maybe OT but how do I recover the login info so I can dl the latest FWP?

I have nothing but gratitude and respect for the people behind this project, thank you for your help.

Re: Form Wizard Pro - installed, cannot use

"the email receipt I received from PayPal has support@mojoportal.com as the contact email in 3 different places"

As far as I know the only email address I have configured at paypal is sales@mojoportal.com. None of the receipts I get from paypal nor the ones sent by this site list support. Could you forward that to sales@mojoportal.com so I can see it?

"how do I recover the login info so I can dl the latest FWP"

you are posting in this forum already logged in as the user with the purchase history, just click the "My Account" link at the top of the page and look under "Order History"
