Is there any way that I can use the blog module on a page and have the content from the blog show up in 2 or more columns?

What I want is, if there are more than 2 posts then on the page to display 2 posts at a time side by side, and if there is only 1 post then it should take the whole width. Maybe even increasing the number displayed to 3 or 4 and they should nicely fit on the screen side by side.

Even if the page has a left navigation or not, it should still retain the blog post navigation at the bottom.

Is there such a thing?
