Asp.Net Identity Authentication

Hi,

Is there a way to use Asp .Net identity authentication instead of mojoportal user authentication?

Thanks :)

Re: Asp.Net Identity Authentication

We might be interested in this as well...I believe that the new ASP.NET Identity stuff allows users to authenticate with FB/Yahoo/Twitter logins.

So my question is:

In MP, is the authentication system "pluggable" and if so, decoupled from the authorization functions?

Thanks in advance.

Regards..

Re: Asp.Net Identity Authentication

We already have support for social logins using Janrain. mojoPortal is currently built on the ASP.NET Membership framework but we also support other logins such as Janrain.

ASP.NET Identity is  a newer replacement for Membership, it is possible that in the future we will revamp mojoPortal to use ASP Identity instead of ASP Membership but it is not an urgent priority at the moment and doesn't really scratch anything that is itching right now.
