Pages can't be created

Hi! i have such problem: pages stay unaccessible after creation, and also when i try to edit html content or post to the forum and ultimately click "Update" it gives me just Null Reference Exception! As for the first problem, so highlighted link shows, for instance, http://localhost/taapsd/opened.aspx in a status bar.

I use mojoPortal Version 2.2.4.6 MSSQL, SQL Server 2005, Vista Ultimate.

P.S. Yes, and in Url Manager, if clicking View Friendly Url it brings me again to page 404, and if highlighting it shows again http://localhost/taapsd/opened.aspx in the status bar.

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Anton

Re: Pages can't be created

Hi Anton,

I'm really not sure whats going on there but a couple of things I can think of to look at.

I'm assuming taapsd is a virtual directory configured in IIS as an application for .NET 2.0

Look in the folder which corresponds to http://localhost (ie the folder at the root of Default Web Site) and see if there is another Web.config file in there. If so remove it as it may be interfering.

Also Vista has IIS 7, you may want to make sure you are using the "Classic" .NET app pool.

Everything worked for me on Vista, but recently I've gone back to XP so I no longer have a Vista machine setup to test myself.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Pages can't be created

Wow! It was fixed in a second just changing app pool to Classic!! I am shocked! Thanks a lot! I probably would never think about app pools myself!

Best regards,

Anton
